PRINTING HOW CAN I CHECK MY PDF FOR ERRORS?

Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat (not the reader software). Depending on your version of Acrobat, these steps may vary. Go to Tools > Print Production > Preflight. Once you click "preflight", a window will open and on the bottom right end you will see the button "Analyze". Click on "analyse" and you will see a list of errors with your document.

HOW CAN I SPLIT MY PDFS (FROM MULTIPLE PAGES TO INDIVIDUAL PAGES)?

You can visit www.splitpdf.com. This is an online tool to help you separate your PDF files.

HOW DO I PREPARE FILES FOR PULL-UP BANNERS WITH STANDS?

Follow these steps:

- Add 1/4" bleed along the top and the sides of the banner
- The banner must be 33" x 81" + bleed
- Avoid putting text in the bottom 3", in order to make sure it doesn't end up within the base of the stand once installed

HOW DO I PREPARE FILES FOR UV ORDERS?

Follow these guidelines:

- The UV and design files must be separate and in four different files
- Send one file, with only one layer for the design of the recto
- Send one file, with only one layer for the design of the verso
- Send one file, with only one layer for the UV of the recto
- Send one file, with only one layer for the UV of the verso
- If the spot UV is only on one side, then specify which side in the comment box (when placing your order)
- What is in spot UV must be 100% opacity and only 100% black, and not a combination of colors
- All four files must be the same size, so if bleed is 1/8", business cards would be 2.125"x3.625" so all four files should be this size,
- In the design, be sure to use CMYK unless you have requested Pantone

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER OF BUSINESS CARDS?

Times vary however our double sided 16pt business cards (without finishing options) take 5 - 7 business days for production from each Tuesday. Submission of art work must be placed each Tuesday before noon in order to be placed on the next run.

Finishing options can add extra time to production.

THE DIMENSIONS I'M LOOKING FOR AREN'T ON THE LIST. WHAT DO I DO?

If you would like to place an order for a size that is not listed on the website, contact us and we will be happy to email you a custom quote for your order making sure to include in your email the full specifications and finishing options you would like.

WEBSITES DO I NEED TO SEND A DEPOSIT FOR THE WORK?

Yes we generally ask for a 50% deposit from clients.

HOW DO I GET LISTED IN GOOGLE?

It is free to submit to Google. We submit all web sites we build to Google, Yahoo!... etc. However the better option in the case of listing and ranking on Google searches is to open a Google Analytics account and link it to your site.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A DESIGN TO BE COMPLETED?

The timescale of a project is generally dictated by the client. If you have a deadline in mind we will endeavor to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The cost of a web site varies, depending upon the type of site you require. A basic site will cost approx $950.00, a simple Ecommerce site $2950.00, a complex Ecommerce site/Database driven site $4000.00+. Obviously each site has to be treated on it's individual requirements, but these figures should give you an idea of a ballpark figure.

We request a 50% deposit for all projects. The balance of payment is then due on completion of the project.

Payment can be made by cheque, Bank transfer or by Interac Online.

The only ongoing cost will be your annual hosting fee and the annual domain name registration fee made to your provider(s) for those services.

I WOULD LIKE YOU TO DESIGN MY SITE, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NOW/WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

If you would like to use our services all you need to do is send us a brief idea of your requirements. We will then design an initial graphical representation of your web page/site for you.

This is then refined/changed in consultation with the client until a satisfactory design has been reached. We will then need you to forward content and images for your site and start to design the web site for you.

Keep in mind that you will have to open a hosting account with a provider to house the web site and register your domain name (ie: .com, .ca, .net... etc). We work closely with a number of providers and will help facilitate the process when and where we can.

WHAT AFTER-SALES SUPPORT DO YOU OFFER?

After the completion of a web site project we are available for after sales service. Any slight tweaks or amendments are carried out to the site free of charge in the first month (30 days). Any support thereafter will be charged at an hourly rate of $45.00. All our designs are created and conceived from your requirements. We don't use ready made templates, all our sites are designed from scratch. So if you want a green web site with pink spots you can have one!

If you are making an enquiry about a possible site you would like created, please provide a brief outline of your requirements. We will then mail you back promptly with an idea of price/time-scale and any suggestions with regard to your project. You are not obliged to use our services at any stage during this process, so feel free to use the form to ask any related questions you may have.

WHAT IS FTP?

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a method of transferring files (web pages for example) from your local PC to your web server. There are a variety of free ftp software programs available on the Internet and they enable you to update your web site pages at any given time.

When a hosting package is purchased 'ftp details', consisting of the host name, User ID and password are sent to you by the provider. It is important at the start of any job that those details are forwarded to us before work can begin.

WHAT IS OPTIMIZATION?

All web pages should be optimized. This will enable your site to gain a high search engine ranking, it revolves around the html structure, content presentation within the code, alt/title attribute optimization and the meta tags on your web pages, a web page that isn't optimized won't appear in the search engines to any great degree. This is a simplified overview, but for more on optimization feel free to call or email with any questions you may have.

WILL WE NEED TO HAVE A MEETING?

In the majority of cases a meeting isn't necessary and 90% of our sites are generally completed with contact via email and telephone only.
